Practicing with you, I am sharing in my teachings  insights for vitality, energy and ease in life and movement. It is my intention to encourage movement with an emphasis on personal enquiry.

Awareness and attention is trained to develop 'a felt sense’, impose less, and allow the intelligence of the body to reveal itself. 

​

The intent in my yoga practice changed as I noticed my body and my heart needed a healthier approach towards living in my body and being myself.  I was re-searching integration to heal physical dissociation, emotional unease and mental irritation. Since being a teenager I suffered from exhaustion and visceral body pain.

​

Previously, being an Anusara and Vinyasa Yoga practitioner and teacher (2007/2008), my need was still urgent to find a freer, more individual, more subtle and more intelligent ways to move. I was in pain and my hyper flexibility has not been improving.  Since 2009, move & sense is besides Flying Yoga the foundation of my teachings.   

 

Irmgard  is a dedicated student and teacher of Somatics.

My teachings are informed by studies in Anatomy-in-motion and the Fascia Network as well as Body-Mind Centering, Feldenkrais and breath science, aspects of which inspire and infuse my practice and teaching about movement, touch and consciousness. The teachings of Vanda Scaravelli are my first anchor and brought me on a never ending and interesting research of interoception and unwinding the body, mind & heart.

Do not kill the instinct of the body for the glory of the pose. Do not look at your body like a stranger, but adopt a friendly approach towards it. Watch it, listen to it, observe its needs, its requests, and even have fun. To be sensitive is to be alive.
